Alan Backdrop returns to Space Trax with “Novelty Sin,” “303 O'Clock,” “Ondel” and “Swallow The Pain.” It’s fast and spacious without feeling overly polished — big low end, bright synth movement and that slightly cosmic pull somewhere between techno and trance.

“303 O'Clock” brings some serious bass weight, while “Swallow The Pain” pushes further into the airy, melodic end of the record. Four nicely balanced cuts on marbled vinyl, with “Ddie” included separately as a digital bonus track.
