Miraggi introduces Argento, a new project from David August, with ten pieces written between Berlin and the Tuscan coast. Synthesizers and environmental recordings sit alongside acoustic percussion, giving Vento Del Sud, Sabbia Su Sabbia, Mare Arcaico and Tramonto a rhythmic feel without crowding the space around them.
Drummer and percussionist Lorenzo Setti plays and co-writes across the record, helping shape a sound that moves between ambient electronics, Balearic atmosphere and traces of jazz fusion. It feels Mediterranean without leaning on obvious nostalgia — measured, warm and quietly rhythmic across the full LP.
