Lock Box is Ben Fester’s debut four-track EP, recorded in 2020 and released through Paper-Cuts. Parachutes opens with sparse broken drums, soft melodic layers and deep low end, before 103 Alarm increases the pressure with shifting rhythms, synth stabs and a darker electronic edge.
Juts pulls jungle influence into a slower house groove, while Play-Doh finishes with heavier bass and a more acidic character. Four different angles across breakbeat, house and UK garage, tied together by Fester’s loose rhythmic approach and ear for space.
