Boo Williams – Galaxy House EP
Island Life Records (ILR002V)
Boo Williams pushes his Chicago house sound a little harder here, then lets the remixers pull it apart.
Galaxy House EP brings three new Boo Williams originals to Island Life: Galaxy House, Need Yo Love Tonight and House Me Up. The flip hands things over to DJ More Entropic for two different remixes, before Clouds Of Kouros Vs. Cosmic Top Secret closes with another take on the title track.
This one has a little more bite than the deeper side of Boo’s catalogue, but the swing and warmth are still there. The remixes stretch things further out — harder, darker and slightly stranger — without losing the Chicago house thread underneath.
