Melodic IDM built from clipped rhythms, bright synth detail and a gentle pull towards the club.
Priori and Ludwig A.F. return as Chestnut People for Volume 2, their first release under the project since its 2023 debut. Across six numbered pieces, finely programmed drums and melodic synth work move between IDM, electronica and broken club rhythms without settling into one fixed tempo or structure.
The second half opens the rhythms up further, with garage swing and more fractured patterns sitting beside the record’s softer melodic side. There is a clear trace of early Warp and Rephlex in the details, but the production remains firmly connected to Priori and Ludwig A.F.’s own contemporary electronic sound.
