Hot Squid brings Ciel and Mathis Ruffing together for a five-track EP that pulls from tech house, techno and minimal house. The title track works around stuttered vocals, sharp drum hits and a rolling bassline, while Little Voice and Late Summer bring more slippery synth movement into the record.

Released on Punctuality as PNCT008, the vinyl includes a Roza Terenzi remix of Hot Squid alongside three further originals. The remix opens more space around the vocal and percussion, while Bong Bong closes the record with a stranger, sample-led swing.
