HET ALTIJD looks back across De School’s eight years without forcing everything into a straight timeline. Architectural sketches, art documentation and original photography sit alongside portraits of regulars and images taken after the final closing, with text drawn from wall markings, toilet scribbles and notes found around Doctor Jan van Breemenstraat 1.

Edited by Leendert Sonnevelt and Nathan Kofi and designed by Beau Bertens, the 160-page book is elastic bound so its pages can be rearranged rather than followed in one fixed order. It measures 226 × 185 mm and comes with a translucent dust cover, turning the archive into something you can properly handle rather than just read front to back.
