Delian League – Crush
Causal Chain (CV-001)
A restless breakbeat record that keeps slipping between electro, grime, UK bass and dub.
Montreal producer Matt Sklivas makes his Causal Chain debut as Delian League with Crush. The five-track 12-inch runs through Essence, Struck, the title track, Eso Stepper and Pulse (Float Mix), pulling from several corners of contemporary club music without settling neatly into one.
Broken rhythms and heavy low end hold things together while electro, grime and dub keep moving in and out of the frame. It feels considered without sounding overly tidy — five tracks that make more sense together than they would boxed into separate genres.
Ships fast Australia-wide.
