djfix makes his Craigie Knowes debut with four tracks that move around the darker edges of house without sticking to one rhythm. The Dial features Gbar over a thick bassline and shadowy synth work, while Signal & Shadow shifts into a broken pattern somewhere between electro and garage.
Twin brings the percussion further forward with a steady build and more melodic detail, before Animals as Teachers closes on a tougher 4/4 pulse. Different angles across each track, tied together by springy bass, restless rhythm and a slightly leftfield club feel.
