Forest Drive West returns to Delsin’s Mantis series with Mantis 1920, an eight-track double pack moving across drum & bass, techno and slower, more spacious forms. Joe Baker keeps the production characteristically restrained, letting tightly cut drums, deep low end and sparse atmospheres carry most of the weight.

Patrick Russell joins on Uromastyx, one of the record’s clearest D&B moments, while DB1 appears on closing track Plane as the rhythm drops into a more broken, half-step feel. The tempos shift considerably across the 2x12", but the same stripped, dub-minded approach holds it together throughout.
