Gerald Mitchell – Groove Within The Groove
RAWAX Motor City Edition (GM-05G)
Gerald Mitchell’s 1999 Detroit cut returns on wax, landing somewhere between techno and house.
Originally released on 430 West in 1999, Groove Within The Groove brings three Gerald Mitchell tracks back through RAWAX Motor City Edition. Faith takes the A-side, with You Got To Stay and It’s Possible together on the reverse.
There’s a strong Detroit feel throughout, but plenty of house in the swing and groove too. This limited clear-gold pressing keeps things simple: three older Mitchell tracks, back on vinyl and still sitting comfortably between the house and techno sides of his sound.
