A seven-year stretch of Gideon Jackson’s London tech house, pulled together properly across three records.

Tokinowa : Seven collects eight Gideon Jackson productions made between 1999 and 2005, right through a period when his stripped, rolling approach was helping define the London tech house sound. Gids Tech House, Acid For Tea, Come On and Touch Me are all here, moving between low-slung house grooves, dub weight and flashes of acid without losing that distinctly early-2000s looseness.

Sushitech spreads the collection across three 180g black records in a gatefold sleeve with an insert, giving the older material a suitably substantial new home. Jackson’s own photography is worked into the presentation too — a considered retrospective rather than just eight tracks put back into circulation.
