Ignez keeps things focused across “Us In The Sand,” “Sight,” “Upclose” and “Amplesso.” There’s plenty of pace, but it never feels like speed for the sake of it — tough drums sit alongside small melodic details and rough textures that keep shifting around the groove.

“Us In The Sand” is the more expansive cut, while “Upclose” and “Amplesso” pull things into something starker and more direct. Four well-judged techno tracks with that natural, slightly alien character that runs through a lot of Ignez’s work.
