Four lean techno cuts with plenty of pace and room to move.

Lobster lands on V35 with “Sourcecode,” “Iron Curtain,” “Whiteknife” and “Dyson Sphere.” The record keeps things stripped back and direct, with tight drums, repetition and small details doing most of the work rather than piling too much into the mix.

There’s a nice sense of restraint across all four tracks — fast enough to keep things moving, but never overly blunt. Sourcecode EP is straightforward techno done properly, with enough character around the edges to keep it interesting.
