Thomas Melchior and Bruno Pronsato finally reconnect on wax after more than a decade, picking up right where they left off with the second part of their *Nijinski Picnic* series on Foom. Originally recorded in Melchior’s Berlin studio pre- and mid-lockdown, this one’s been quietly marinating for years.

“Candidate” sets things in motion with thick low-end and that signature tension-before-release feeling. On the flip, “Cumulus Ruckus (Back Version)” is a woozy modular trip, all elastic rhythms and warped atmospherics, followed by “Nijinski Picnic (Bells Version),” a beautifully restrained closer that floats somewhere between hypnosis and meditation.
