Mike Dehnert - Freiraum EP

Mike Dehnert – Freiraum EP
RAWAX (RX16)

Early Mike Dehnert back on wax, with four lean Berlin techno cuts carrying minimal structure and a dubby edge.

Originally released on Dehnert’s Fachwerk label in 2008, Freiraum EP returns through RAWAX with the original four tracks intact. One O Eight and Iv take the A-side, followed by Black Smoke and Leerlauf on the reverse.

This is Dehnert in his earlier, more stripped-back mode — tough drums, plenty of space and just enough dub and minimal detail around the edges. Nearly two decades on, it still has that slightly rough Berlin feel without sounding tied to its era.
