Mike Dunn Presents MD III - Face The Nation

Mike Dunn Presents MD III – Face The Nation
Clone Classic Cuts (C#CC001)

Four pieces of vocal acid house from Mike Dunn’s late-’80s Chicago period, direct and stripped right back.

Originally released on Chicago’s Underground Records in 1988, Face The Nation is an early MD III record from Mike Dunn, now back through Clone Classic Cuts. The four-track 12-inch runs through Face The Nation, Personal Problem, Set Me Free and Going Nowhere.

It’s classic Chicago acid house in a pretty bare form — vocals, machine rhythms and acid doing most of the work. More direct than polished, and still carrying the slightly strange character that made these early records stand apart in the first place.
