This remastered 2xLP edition of Monolake’s Hongkong brings together Robert Henke and Gerhard Behles’ early material in a form that sits between dub techno pulse and widescreen ambient space. The record keeps a precise, stripped feel while letting the atmosphere do a lot of the work.

Across the album, slow-moving bass pressure, crisp percussion and environmental detail give the tracks a calm but forward motion, with the mood staying spacious rather than pushing toward heavier peak-time techno.
