O$VMV$M, the dynamic Bristol-based duo comprised of Amos Childs (Jabu) and Sam Barrett (Kahn & Neek), has been known for their hazy, smoked-out soundscapes found on releases for labels like Idle Hands and No Corner. Their most recent work included providing music for the Manonmars LP. However, with IDLE063, they break new ground and showcase an evolution in their artistic journey. While their previous work often consisted of captivating, fleeting vignettes, this release takes their sound in unexplored directions. The duo expands their ideas into long-form tracks, drawing from Bristol's rich soundsystem culture and infusing it with their unique sampling skills. "Phase 4 / Witch" catapults O$VMV$M into a vast, uncharted territory, revealing the true breadth of their sound.
