Seven tracks stretching dubby, spacious techno into breaks, IDM and more abstract territory.

OK EG give themselves two records to work with here, letting Lauren Squire and Matthew Wilson’s hardware-led sound properly stretch out. Oxygen Channel opens with a cavernous pulse, Circular Arc moves further into dub techno and the title track tightens things up with spiralling, trance-like movement.

The second half gets stranger and less fixed to the floor. Surface System and Matched Grip continue the dubby thread, before Flow Regime and Endless River move into breaks and IDM. It covers a fair bit of ground, but the warm synths, rubbery rhythms and slightly alien sense of space keep Rivulets feeling like one complete record.
