Shyam Anand lines up the third Spandrel 12″ with a set of stripped, steppin’ house tracks. ‘Italia In Me’ and ‘Get Mesmerized’ work around tight drums, chopped vocals and a bassline that keeps everything moving without shouting for attention.
On the flip, ‘Mermelada’ leans a bit funkier while ‘My Vice Iz Flight’ goes deeper and headier, still keeping that direct, no-nonsense groove. Easy to play, plenty of swing, and very much in his lane.
