Upper-tempo drum & bass with techno pressure and a colder experimental edge.
“Rune” opens with brooding bass and that insistent technoid push Pugilist does so well, before “Pyre” gets heavier on the drums with hard kicks and cracking snares. There’s plenty going on, but neither track feels overcrowded.
“Woven” gives the synths more room to stretch out before “Machiavellian” closes with ritualistic drums and skittering breaks, always holding back from the obvious big drop. Four sharp, slightly sideways D&B cuts pressed on translucent green marbled vinyl.
