Tomiie pares things back to weight, space and chord decay for the first chapter of a new DubWax trilogy.
Dub Not Dub and Wax Dub take the A-side, working with a deliberately sparse palette where small shifts in rhythm, chords and atmosphere carry most of the movement. N02, Void Echo and R02 continue across the flip, keeping the whole record firmly on the reduced, dubby end of techno.
Subtract Infinity Part 1 is the opening instalment in a planned three-part series for DubWax, with all five tracks written and produced by Satoshi Tomiie. No big gestures here — most of the interest comes from how carefully the space between everything is handled.
