On their fourth album, SOYUZ move toward a softer, folk-leaning jazz sound built around Belarusian vocals, tape-tracked arrangements and light rhythmic details. The record keeps its focus on melody and small ensemble playing without forcing intensity.

Strings, keys and acoustic instrumentation shape much of the album’s tone, with contributions from musicians in Brazil, Poland and Sweden adding quiet variation. It’s a grounded, carefully arranged LP that fits neatly within Mr Bongo’s modern global catalogue.
