USG Featuring Monica Elam – Life 4 Living
Prescription Records (PR-5014)
Monica Elam’s vocal sits at the centre of this spacious 1998 Prescription deep-house cut.
Originally released on Prescription in 1998, Life 4 Living pairs USG with vocalist Monica Elam for a long-form piece of deep house. The Vocal Life Mix takes the A-side, with a full dub stretching across the reverse.
There’s plenty of room in both versions — voice, percussion and groove given time to settle rather than being pushed along. Reissued on Prescription and sounding every bit at home in the deeper end of the label’s catalogue.
