Hazy Corsican house with a loose 4/4 pulse, strange little details and Roman Flügel on remix duty.

At the centre of CFV002 is Of Course, a hypnotic house track pulled from Valerj’s semi-lost album and already finding its way into sets from Ivan Smagghe and Nic Arizona. The original keeps things simple and slightly skewed, while Roman Flügel’s remix stays close to its foundations and gives the groove his own treatment.

Say Sorry and Midnight Pulse take over the flip, rounding out a four-track EP that looks backwards without turning into a nostalgia exercise. There’s a bit of ’90s underground house in its bones, but the odd synth work and loose, tripped-out feel keep it firmly in Valerj’s world.
